  Hi!
  Good post. I've set up an account on Viviotech two days ago. It was a choice between Railo and Open BD. I picked up Railo and now see some difference with Adobe CF. It doesn't support ValidateAt, preservedata,richtext(in cftextarea).
  What's your opinion on Open BD? Is closer to Adobe CF?

  I ended up actually going back to CF when Viviotech offered CF9 Enterprise. My experience was that I preferred Railo, but that both were missing features the Adobe CF offers, and I'm not interested in playing a waiting game for the open source crowd to catch up. I also find that I use RDS a lot in development and that is something only Adobe CF offers.
  
  It was entirely a personal preference issue. I would gladly recommend people giving the open source options a try if they can before going straight to Adobe CF, if asked.
